A Tangled Web
For as long as anyone
can remember, Penhallows have married Darks and vice versa, and all the members
of each clan are simply yearning to inherit the old dark jug. Aunt Becky, the
matriarch of the clan, must leave the beloved heirloom to one of her kin, but
she will have some biting fun first at the expense of her family. It is decreed
that she will leave the name of the recipient in an envelope that is not to be
open until one year after her death. Suddenly very odd things begin to happen in
the family. Noel Gibson breaks his engagement with the lovely Gay Penhallow for
her worldly cousin Nan. Peter Penhallow and Donna Dark, sworn enemies, fall in
love, and Roger Penhallow finally wins the heart of his beloved. Does this jug
have such power over the family or is Aunt Becky still tinkering with them from
beyond the grave?
